Technology for Smart Generation
There are two types of elearning courses called the performance-based and information-based courses. As implied by its name, information-based courses focus on providing information to the learners, while the performance-based type centers on changing behavior and performance. The latter is more accessible given that a person can measure performance before and after. Information-based on the other hand is more difficult because one cannot truly determine whether or not the information is used if it is not linked with performance.
Interactive scenarios are immersive environments where students can explore, analyze and make decisions based on what data is fed to them. They are useful elearning tools and work very well with both types of courses. Through these tools, learners are able to practice and apply whatever it is they learned from their lessons. Additionally, they help instructors in the assessment of comprehension and understanding.
But how do you create an interactive scenario?
First of all, start by mapping out the scenario’s flow. It usually starts with the presentation of some data that prompts learners to engage in analytical thinking in order to make a decision. Next, choices are presented for selection, and then feedback is given based on the choice made. The lesson proceeds after the feedback.
If you’re looking to make savings with your staff training budget, you should consider elearning. Design and development costs of an electronic system are extremely minor compared with the travel and accommodation costs of sending your staff to training centres.
However savings aren’t the only benefit to electronic learning systems. A bespoke elearning system flexibility for both how your employees proceed with their training and how you meet the educational needs of your business.
A huge benefit of elearning is that you’re not limited to one place for training. No matter where your business takes your employees they’ll be able to access workshops, tutorials and information depending on the quality of your web design. Basingstoke, Edinburgh, London – even New York, Bangladesh, Sydney or Tokyo – thanks to the World Wide Web, your staff will be able to carry on with their education.
For employers, elearning offers you a flexible way of delivering critical information to staff. You can update content rapidly and incorporate a variety of media content into your courses. Information delivered via electronic learning can feature animations, audio clips, videos or even interactive features that help your staff engage with the material and helps reinforce valuable information.
Also, unlike paper based training documents, a digital approach allows you to update content rapidly. This means that you can update health and safety procedures, best sales practice or employee induction procedures whenever you want without any fuss or significant additional expense. Updating your format is as easy as updating your content too; if you want to add videos to your lesson material then you can do so whenever you wish.

The accurate and standardized collection of data plays a vital role in the success of a clinical trial. An important step in electronic clinical data management (eCDM) is electronic data capture (EDC).However, the success of EDC is dependent on how well-trained and knowledgeable the clinical research coordinators and associates are in the use of EDC. There are many options for training on an EDC solution printed materials, but these can quickly become out of date and the success is dependent on how the individual uses the material, classroom training, but this can be expensive to conduct or webcasts, which can be more cost effective to conduct, but participants can get lost in the large number of participants that webcast can have.
What other options are out there to offer good EDC training to your attendees? eLearning, or computer-based training, is a good option to incorporate into your overall training plan. It may not be best to completely replace classroom or other types of training with eLearning, but by allowing attendees to work at their own pace on their own time, eLearning can be a valuable learning experience. The perfect platform to conduct EDC training is an Investigator Meeting, where attendees can receive one on one attention while going through the training process at their own pace.
eLearning solutions are more efficient and are easy to use. Many options are web-based, meaning they don’t require user to install anything on their own computers. This also means that the system can be accessed from any location via the internet or a CD. The content is easy to update and customized if a change comes along, the training administer just needs to update the content on the system. The need to print out additional content for training manuals is eliminated. eLearning solutions also saves the results of any and all electronic test that are taking. These record can be easily access to show exacting competency and compliance with 21 CFR Code 11.

Although I have been a big supporter of the whole thing related with elearning, I would still admit it is not a replacement for the traditional learning process. I mean, there is countless number of benefits that are attached with elearning. However, there are a few things that go with traditional learning process which simply can`t be had with, elearning.
I think we all agree on the fact that the younger –lot do need some controlled environment to be taught something meaningful. This is because of the fact that for an average kid learning some subjects can get a bit boring. So, let`s face it… the traditional method of learning still holds some ground. However, for further studies the mode of elearning can be quite an ideal tool. Elearning does give a sort of freedom to its learners & that`s the key selling point of this medium of instruction. Online training video forms a key component of the whole teaching process through elearning. This means that students need not attend any classes & can just logon through their computers & get to complete their studies without compromising any other prior ongoing commitments like, work or family. I think without elearning many people would not have bothered with going for any further studies. It is indeed quite hard to find time for traditional classes when you`ve got to do full –time work each & every day. Some people even struggle with their studies while, doing only part-time work. So, it does not seem feasible for them to go in for the traditional studies.
