@carlbattams I am really not clued up on Exchange, so if someone else knows, please leave a comment.
Regarding google, once it syncs, all the info is available in the respective app and not combined.

Hi Dave, I really like the HTC desire and your video was really useful. One thing I’d like cleared up before I buy one however is regarding mail. I currently have an iPhone and use 1 exchange account for my google calendar and contacts, 1 exchange account for my work email and a pop account for google. Can the desire combine the google
Mail, calendar and contacts into one account ? Leaving the exchange account for my work mail ?

    Many thanks

    Carl

@kevinx98 To send to multiple people you have to add their numbers or shortcuts into the ‘to’ field. To forward a message, you just tap and hold, then a menu comes up with lots of options, forward being one of them.

“Dave”, you mentioned Texting. Here’s one for you…. How can one forward a TEXT to a GROUP of multiple recipients?
If one RECEIVES an sms/text and wishes to forward it, the normal thing would be to press the message, and then press FORWARD. At this point one is prompted for the address(es). Tap on the required GROUP, and then click OKAY. If you were NOW to hit SEND, your message would be sent to the recipients E-Mail addresses, and NOT their phone numbers :-( (Try it & you’ll see)

  13. davomrmac

How do i actually get music onto my Desire from my itunes library

  15. thaziru

are there some skins for the music player? I saw skins for the media player of windows mobile based htc phones…

  16. davomrmac

@XSaenen Thanks for your comments on my videos.

With regards to the album art : On my own Desire around 95% of the songs don’t have album art. Most media players will display the art if it isn’t properly embedded in the ID3 tag (or simply get it off the internet), but the Desire is quite picky here.

It looks like I’ll have to overhaul my entire MP3 collection to get it to work properly.

@TheCrazyfruitbat HTC themselves say it’ll get 720p recording when they release their own version of Android 2.2. So it’s true. The main question would be how long it’s going to take before they release it.

@Rainhands22 I would say that if you like your music you would need to replace the stock supplied headphones with something better (£20+).

  20. Rainhands22

@davomrmac Can you tell me if the music quality sounds good through headphones? Is it equal to the sound of an iphone or blackberry as this is the deciding factor as I also want to use my phone as an mp3. Thanks

@davomrmac There a couple of apps in the Android store – the best one appears to be gSyncit v2.1 – has anyone had expreience of this in practice?

  22. davomrmac

@mirvthenerve Not sure on this one, anyone else?

  23. TheCrazyfruitbat

i read that htc desire is getting 720p recording AND divx support?. Anyone know if this is true or just a custom hack?

  24. mirvthenerve

@davomrmac I have just checked and I have my email set up for MAPI rather than IMAP – will it work with MAPI too which I understand is similar to IMAP ?

  25. mirvthenerve

    @davomrmac Great news.

What about the ability to sync with Outlook – Calendar, tasks, contacts etc…. ?
