Dual Boot Android & Windows Mobile – HTC Touch Pro 2
Read the rest of this entry »
In this video I demonstrate the ability of the HTC Touch Pro 2 to boot into either Windows Mobile, or Android OS. Check out this post in one of NRGZ28′s EnergyROM threads for the Rhodium. I have the exact links you will need there. forum.xda-developers.com For Additional info on booting to Android to other Windows Mobile devices go here: pocketnow.com
Hey where did you got that rom of wm6.5.3?
@siscopiso
@siscopiso
I don’t have my Touch Pro 2 anymore, so I haven’t been keeping up on it. A quick check at the following link:
forum (DOT) xda-developers (DOT) com (/) showthread (DOT) php?t=627997
shows that they are now using Android 2.2 (Froyo) and there have been some good speed increases in the ROM. Looks like the following are still not working:
- BlueTooth
- Sound (in call mic and earpiece work, no ringtones or music)
- Camera
any update on the rom? is it more functional now with Android running on it?
Dual Boot – HTC Toch PRO II – Android e Windows Mobile. Muito Interessante.
hey what does mount failed mean?
@ashish1099
This specific port of android will only work on certain HTC Windows Mobile devices.
i have a samsung mobile and it is having samsung proprietry os……plz help me i want to change it to android ..so plzzz any help will be appreciated..
Do you think I could boot it on a samsung phone? Known as the omnia
@MacTVFUN
I don’t think they have an XDAndroid port for the Touch 2, but give XDA-Developers a look/search to check for sure.
would this work on a htc touch 2
Hi MrArmagedd0n, I have a question about the dual boot. Can this work on a Sprint Touch Pro 2 that is using a Rogers (GSM) Sim?
@IrippinZ
Lol. That it will, but I will not be testing that theory since I am selling my Touch Pro 2. Bought a Samsung Captivate (Galaxy S) last week, and blending the Touch Pro 2 would make it a bit difficult to sell.
@emo25052
This version will not as Sprint is CDMA, but check XDA-Developers, they may have it working for your device by now.
i only have one question about this…. will it blend?
Would this work on Sprint?
I am getting ready to try this on a T-Mobile Tap.. wondering what my results will be, because as far as I can tell, it IS a Windows OS in the phone.
Any idea on how I can make the Tap read .cab files? It doesn’t support them as it sits, and I cannot find any info online.

will this also work for HTC Touch 2?
@daweirdkid33
This specific version of XDAndroid will only work with a GSM phone, and US Cellular is a CDMA network. Try checking out XDA-Developers to see if there is a port for CDMA phones.
will this work on the us cellular version of the touch pro 2
