www.Alfred.TV READ ME FIRST In this traditional holiday series, Alfred and AdamB take their screwdrivers to the rare Hartmann Neuron synthesizer. Special thanks to Axel Hartmann and the community at www.surroundsfx.com/forum/ for their support. READ THE REVIEWS! ================== The New York Times calls it “An interesting peak inside a rare and unique musical instrument based on an embedded PC architecture and highly specialized software. For those who expect an installment of Holiday Hardware Hacking, both Alfred and AdamB deliver the goods.” RottenTomatoes.com says “It’s been given 20% rotten – a one star rating. The jokes were horrible, and nothing useful was accomplished.” Alternative lifestyle publication “Out Magazine” says “Two middle-aged men in a bedroom with a synthesizer? Gay. Totally gay.” For helpful resources on the Hartmann Neuron synthesizer, visit: www.surroundsfx.com Read about the Neuron’s synthesis engine at: www.dspdimension.com Synthesizers subbing for the Neuron to play “Jingle Bells” included the Alesis Andromeda, Nord Modular G2, Roland JV-2080, and the Yamaha CS6R in a single, stacked patch. @sergiommms Hello Sergio! Part II has been edited and uploaded – I hope it helps!

    @adiblasi

    So… where is it?!
    And… after posting @ SurroundSFX forums about this and asking for advice, the least you could have done – donĀ“t feel offended – was leave some details on the actual parts and repair.
    I am (not alone in) hoping to see the eventual “part II” where you actually post info and links, as promised…
    Thanks in advance for that!

    I need one repaired. Can you guys check it out for me? It does not power on. Could it be a power supply issue?
    Thanks!

    @KI6DKV Hey, crazy is good, and I’m glad you linked it to your Facebook page! Part II is coming out soon, and the Hartmann Neuron is indeed repaired!

  6. adiblasi

    @alistairstuart2009 Part II is filmed and edited. I have to put a closing song in it. The mighty Adam B did indeed repair the Hartmann Neuron, after a motherboard and a power supply swap, and one of the biggest ‘hack’ jobs I’ve ever seen. It was actually quite brilliant. So, stay tuned!

    @terrytees Hi Terry. YES. There is footage for Part II. And the Neuron is indeed REPAIRED via a very good job by the mighty Adam B. You’ll probably see the Orlando 2010 footage first, and this will indeed follow. Thanks for watching, and your support.
