I love this movie, the planet is so awesome and different from earth, the acting and script were amazing, and the technology felt real, unlike in Star Trek, where there are space ships firing black holes and such. The thing that I thought was very cool about the guns is that they were all bullpup weapons, which the military is staring to use.

command and conquer theme tune in the background AWESOME

    “Let’s bring the pain, ladies!”

check the video–> “sakela~the greatest festival of kirat people” in Nepal

This tribe was forced to leave their ancestral home in indus-valley after the advent of Aryan.
Kiratas worship mother earth, nature and their ancestors. The film avatar is therefore no doubt champion the indigenous people from all over the world.
I believe that Indigenous Religion will only safe the earth from destruction.

    amazing movie!!!!!!

I saw Avatar on flat screen and went and caught it in 3D. When they are going into the mountains to get Jake’s banshee and they leap off the cliff and grab onto the tree roots, I thought “Holy shit!”. A truly amazing movie.

  11. Apoctank

the second song(starts around 1:11) is from command and conquer generals!! great game!

    God I love this movie

  12. danebrewer10

well that’s a stroke of luck! I live in the UK!

  13. sammimitsu

Well, it’s still on in Europe at the cinemas so you betta get a plane to London and catch it at the movies now. No, seriously.

  14. sammimitsu

yeah dude, and ya know, all these Chinese people going around selling dvds are stopping people from having a mind-fuck awesome experience at the movies with films like this, just to save a few bucks or save ‘em having to make the effort to go out to the movies. Some films are ok to watch at home, but seeing this at home on dvd would be like somebody offering you an ice cold beer on a hot day and giving you an eggcupful and saying, that’s it. That’s all you gonna get. Stiff.

  15. sammimitsu

Thanks dude. Yeah, and sitting in the cinema with folk all around you and wanting to cry, but not really being able to cos you’re a bit embarrassed and shit, seems to make the emotion a lot more intense somehow. It kind of transfixes you in your seat, and you know everybody else is feeling the same, unless they’re little kids, or dead or in a coma or something. If someone doesn’t like this film or thinks it’s dull, I think they must think feelings are dumb, or sex is dull…ya know, cynics.

Shit, I don’t think I could have put that better myself….
    Well said!
I spam them on sight, really pisses me off. pointless comments with links probably containing viruses and malware and all that crap. I don’t think it’s still at the cinemas unfortunately, DVD will have to do for me…

  17. sammimitsu

Notoriousdudeable. You are absolutely right. Everyone who loves film should spam them on sight. Life is pretty hum-drum for most of us punters out there, and seeing this film at the cinema is essential. It brings tears to your eyes and moves you. You can’t get up and put the kettle on or answer your cellphone. It works its magic on the big screen with the huge speakers and 3D in a way you could never, ever get at home, however big your home cinema system. Am I right?

  18. LankyCyril

when 3D home theaters hit the market, i will get one SOLELY because of Avatar.
i’ve seen it for the second time today (could be third, but we missed our previous screening) and it was still so breathtaking that i had tears in my eyes.

while my get-up is nowhere near a top cinema set-up, its as good as i can get it at the moment.
    50″ 1080p LG LCD
sony Blu-ray player with gold plated HDMI cable
    7.1 surround sound

best i can do with the money i have.

  20. volvaga0

as aposed to a high definition HUGE ASS CINEMA SCREEN with awesome 3D tech, plus the epic sound system/quality

I would love to see your home set-up if it tops that

  21. billjesusgates

@kineticdeath, i bought a CD from a black guy down the street. he video taped avatar with his camcorder. i only paid $ 2. and it was pretty damn good.

  22. Keresztesy

    That’s right! :D

  23. airsoftmanic101

im waiting for the Blu-Ray release to see it again.
imagine what it will look like on a 1080p LCD with a top-of the-range Blu-ray player? i would actually be nursing a semi.

  24. tokman20

weta workshop was involved?! no wonder the effects were so good.

  25. kineticdeath

anyone who doesnt go and see this at the movies at least once (i’ve seen it twice so far) is wasting thier time, you will not get anywhere near the feel and scope of it all. If you really want to see this, go pay the 10 bucks and really see it!
