The Conclusion of the action packed adventure, “Hardware Wars”!
It’s Star Wars sweded!
“Are you talkin to me??” Omg thats funny!
Why are the left and right sound channels reversed? They weren’t in part 1.
@mikepalomino You’re probably right there. I can’t remember anything before Hardware Wars that went that direction. The humor of the film does remind me of Mad Magazine and how often parodies like that were scripted.
@sygo7g Well said! Hardware Wars was and continues to be a defining parody film. Come to think of it – though I might be over-reaching here – the parody film hadn’t really become a staple of cinema until after Hardware Wars. It must be one of the first parodies to take an intellectual property and turn it on its head like that. Other comedies like Young Frankenstein and Airplane! were more of a spoof of a genre than a specific movie. But I could be wrong

@methistopholes That’s the way I feel too.
@HotEast I remember seeing that and not really know who Reddy Kilowatt was at all until I found out much later, but now i get it and it’s still amusing!
@yugpud That was a deleted scene that was originally in the film but later removed when it was sent through general distribution to places like schools and other organizations. I remember seeing it this way and not noticing the edit until I read about it.
@AgentsTVSeries That was a moment that was cut out of most general prints of this film when it was shown in schools, more recent DVD releases of this film have restored it.
@229095 That was how I was exposed to it as well, though the 16mm print I saw was transferred to video from a friend’s copy, but was also very damaged so it was quite splicey throughout the presentation, but it was worth seeing it that way!
@jordanthewizard Me too. It’s sucks thinking how these prices have tripled or quadrupled themselves over time.
@mikepalomino Sad really, this was one of those films I cried out laughing at the first minute after it started! It was just perfect. It pretty much nails a lot of what I liked from parodies but doing so in it’s own amusing shoestring fashion. Today’s generation is too spoiled to really get it.

@subatomiccupcake I agree. What is it with all these spoil-sports dumping on Hardware Wars? People have no sense of humor unless it includes tits / nutshots / and or body fluids ~__~
